If by awkward, you mean, the day after firing somebody who was investigating Trump ties to Russia, supposedly for something Comey did over a year ago..and more awkward because you exclude the press from meeting with the Russians, making it a “secret” meeting? Only the Russians schedule a news conference, and we can be sure that they will deny anything and everything. So, yea, maybe it’s awkward, but only because Trump went out of his way to make it as suspicious as he possibly could.
