EPA chief: Trump administration may intervene in next climate study

Can someone please explain how the Obama administration supposedly tilted this climate assessment…that was 100% prepared under Trump administration?
Also, if Trump’s intervention in ‘next assessment’ means the findings are going to be based on “Trump’s gut feelings”, without actual facts or science to back them up, it won’t be a scientific assessment as much as an opinion piece…An opinion piece, based on the opinion of an idiot who thinks knowledge is something you just inherently “feel”, rather than learn by experience and, more importantly, experiment. No one will give credence to such a document, based on knowledge gained by The Donald osmotically (you know…just by being around…or related to…smart people), except maybe snake oily political operators whose job it is to “spin” everything…and their victims.
Frankly, I’ll never be one of those victims, and I’m quite sick of my government trying to “spin” everything to manipulate me. Just the facts, man. Just give me the fucking facts.

Wow. Every day I read the news, and it seems like every day there’s something that just makes me go, “Where the fuck am I?”, because THIS America…this current iteration of an otherwise pretty good idea, is NOT America. THIS America is not a beacon of liberty, but a bastion of bigotry. So called “conservatives” are really just paranoid, reactionary fools who cannot embrace change, even when it is necessary.
The first amendment requires that religion must remain OUT of American politics, and yet a few dedicated and well funded zealots, persist in their quest to make America in THEIR own god’s image. A few so called Christians are so full of fear for the afterlife that they believe they have the right to KILL in order to protect their “values” from destruction.
When really, it’s their own fears that they should be battling. Fear that their repressive, judgemental views will be exposed, and that people will see that Jesus is not with them. They are not real Christians. Christians are supposed to be like Christ. So…What would Jesus do?
Jesus was a social liberator who sided with the downtrodden. Jesus condemned the leadership of the temple and government for their sins of greed and oppression. Jesus healed the sick and spoke about treating each other well, without judgement or hatred. Jesus didn’t speak out against gays or foreigners. Jesus was not a hypocrite who bent the truth and manipulated the masses to ensure he remained in power…Jesus spoke the truth, and people followed.
So they killed him. For protesting the status quo. For saying that the ones in power were NOT RIGHT. He was put to death by a corrupt regime.
Me…I’d rather try to live my life like Jesus, and speak out against corruption and the exploitation of the weak by the powerful. I’d rather try to be more like Jesus…well, except for the whole “on the cross experience”… than be a so-called “Christian”. Beware of the wolves in sheep’s clothing.

California already has tough gun laws, but after after a mass shooting people wonder if it’s enough

California has some of the strictest gun control laws in the country, and while there’s probably more we could do, all the attempted controls so far have done little to prevent dedicated terrorists from opening up on innocent people. Around the US, there are other states with tough gun laws that have been unable to throttle the useless violence. In the UK, where guns are much harder to come by, mass knifings have been the recent trend of terror. It seems as if the law is unable to prevent people from taking their angst out on their neighbors. Prohibition rarely works…for anything. So what can we do to stop this plague of violence?
I say, it’s time to take the desperation out of American Life. Maybe, if people didn’t feel like they were out of options to make their lives better. Maybe if people felt like there was some hope for the future. Maybe if income inequality wasn’t at an all time high, as employers exploit their workers without regard for a living wage. Maybe if we were truly addressing the psychological needs of our citizens. Maybe if our government were dedicated to improving the lives of Americans, rather than showering us with fear mongering and division as a justification for more and more military spending, instead of money for education, health (including mental health), and the general welfare.
Maybe we could change this painful trend towards violence. Maybe. Maybe we should at least try.
