30 Years Ago: Bruce Hornsby Plays His First Grateful Dead Show


Seems like yesterday. I think Hornsby brought musical elements back to the Dead that hadn’t really been around since Keith died…and then drove them higher. He was no Pig Pen, but the first time he sat in with the band, he seemed like he belonged there, riding along on the bus to never-everland.
