Senator Chuck Schumer (D-NY) has recently come forward, reporting to Bloomberg that “Republican presidential candidate Sen. Ted Cruz has placed a hold on a deal to vote on S. 2012 and funding for Flint, Michigan.”
Schumer said that “Cruz’s objection stems from the part of the deal providing funding to Flint.” Republicans have been adamant that Flint somehow find the funds locally, and that it should not fall to the federal government to bail them out.
