‘The Simpsons’: Greatest Political Moments

…Matt Groening and company have tackled gay marriage, climate change, immigration, social security and entitlements. They’ve lampooned Rush Limbaugh, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Bill Clinton, Al Gore, Mitt Romney, Barack Obama, Donald Trump and hopelessly inept, corrupt small-town mayors everywhere. Through it all, they’ve gleefully mocked of the first President Bush’s assertion that the American families should be more like the Waltons than like Marge, Homer, Bart, Lisa and Maggie.

We’ve been through a lot together, but nothing quite like this nightmarish election. “It’s just like when you have a bad dream, except this is real and will probably ruin your life,” Homer, speaking for all of us, recently told Marge.

That may not be very comforting, but hopefully this compilation of great political moments in Simpsons’ history is.
