Exclusive: Vietnam’s ‘double standards’ in ivory trade

It’s amazing how many countries are still unable…or unwilling…to stem the tide on illegal animal poaching and trafficking of ivory/horn from protected species. More examples of how, left unchecked, the profit motive will always result in corruption due to greed. Communism only makes the problem worse, because ‘somehow’ a few people get to sidestep that whole “everybody is equal” thing, living lives of privilege and excess. Once again…greed and corruption.

Socialism doesn’t require equality for all. Rather, it says that Capitalism must have a conscience. Greed must have it’s limits. You can make all the money you want…AFTER you make sure that everyone is taken care of, and that suffering due to need is negligible. All companies should make sure their employees earn a LIVING wage. THEN they can justify those profits and huge salaries for the management elite. But until they make sure that the companies they run are RESPONSIBLE CORPORATE CITIZENS, those executives should hang their heads in shame for accepting a single penny more than their employees earn.

DAMN. How did I get on a Socialism rant from Ivory trade? Better you don’t get me started today, I guess.

Stop killing the fucking elephants for their tusks god damnit. Just saying.
