Opinions On Climate Change Polarized By Political Party Affiliation, Study Finds – News Hub – Andrew Young School of Policy Studies, College of Arts and Sciences, Press Releases, Press Releases, Research

Duh. #ClimateChangeDenial has been a core platform of the GOP for decades. Republican disinformation on #ClimateChange to create purposeful separations in society and affect the outcomes in elections goes like this:
Climate change isn’t real. It’s just a plot by the Democrats to tax businesses and put people out if work. That’s right, YOUR job. Vote GOP.
Democrats of course spread their own fears by over-hype of the issue to garner attention, which works just as well at pushing people to the other side as it does to convince folks that we need to do better for our own good.
Everybody in Washington lies. So what’s the difference? Is the anything that makes one side more credible than the other?
Yup. Most reputable scientists are saying that we DO need to do better. The climate IS changing. Urban and environmental planners know that we need to be better prepared and more in control of our global resources, and better managers of our most fragile ecosystems and the environmental risks to our population centers.
Most REAL scientists agree: We need to use our scientific community as actual scientists, rather than politically manipulated research writers. Science is not about proving YOUR viewpoint to be True. It’s about finding the ACTUAL truth.
