Morocco turns on what will become the world’s largest solar power plant

Seems like the perfect use for all that desert space, right?

I bet if we turned all of our deserts into solar power plants, it would not only power the world, but also would help combat global warming. Why? If all that solar energy is converted into POWER, rather than HEAT, that MUST have a huge cooling effect on the desert, which when applied massively, will in turn have an effect on a global scale.
