Obama preparing ‘larger speech’ on $10 per barrel oil tax

I want to see the end of carbon fuels and the rapid adoption of alternative energy sources of power, but i strongly disagree with any taxes on energy, including Oil. Reducing the cost of energy improves economic productivity, since business pay less to produce the same output. Taxing energy makes production and innovation more expensive.

Instead, we must use positive means to encourage alternate energy growth, rather than stifling growth by increasing costs on existing energy. Motivate to change, rather than punish for staying the same.
