In Armenia, ‘What Do You Want to Be?’ Is Asked in Infancy

“Remember when you got your first tooth, and you chose the twist tie from the objects we showed you? No? Well too bad…because that’s when you decided you would be a garbage collector and it’s set in stone. You should’ve chosen the car keys if you wanted that taxi driving career.”

As an Armenian American, I’m just glad I didn’t grow up in Armenia.
