Michael Brown settlement follows trend of paying for justice in officer-involved shootings

I wonder how many million in payouts it will take before they figure out that they can save all that money by hiring better officers, and better training officers, to avoid violating the civil rights of the citizens they are sworn to protect? I mean, all you have to do is start indicting and convicting obviously guilty cops, instead of paying out millions when they shoot unarmed civilians. Make the bad apples pay and suddenly you’ll have no more bad apples. That’s called “deterrence” in law enforcement terms.
Oh wait…it’s Government agencies we’re talking about. Nevermind. They may never figure it out on their own.
