Researchers say you might as well be your own therapist

You are your own best shrink. Unless you’re REALLY crazy.
But seriously. Most therapy is just about helping you figure out what corrections you need to make to your perspective that minimize pain and maximize well being. Because for some reason you can’t see what is causing the pain. Hint: Usually it’s because you don’t want to see.
Therapy is about change. We don’t handle change very well. Some of us will always need help, but most of us would do well to take the whole therapy thing ‘in house’ and stop letting outside forces manipulate our psyches.
