Sorry, but I’m pretty sure it’s all the shootings of unarmed people of color that is REALLY creating distrust. The differential treatment, different justice, based upon race is what creates the real divisions. Only the police can fix this problem: stop racial profiling of EVERY type. Treat all persons, citizens or not, with courtesy and respect, not fear and mistrust. If they shoot at you, you can shoot back. Otherwise, it’s your fucking job to protect EVERYONE. Even if they run away…you can’t shoot someone in the back because you can’t catch them or you’re too lazy.
