Just 62 people own as much wealth as half the world’s population: Oxfam

This is the result of our corrupt government, taking bribes from corporations and wealthy individuals, in exchange for governance to their liking. This is the result of politicians listening to the money and not the voice of the American people, because most Americans would make sacrifices so that the needy would not suffer. If the uber-wealthy were as willing as the rest of us, to make sacrifices to do the right thing, there would be no poverty. We The American People would compel our congress to solve starvation and focus on education and positive change…IF we had a voice.

But we don’t. Our voices are ignored over the voices of the connected…those with a direct line to their favorite congressmen. And these folks don’t want to sacrifice. Try and make the wealthy pay more taxes, and they threaten to take away jobs and claim less will “trickle down”. So Congress complies, and their taxes get CUT. And jobs get cut anyway.
And less trickles down anyway.
