Happy Birthday Lowell George: Demonstrating His Technique On German TV

Happy Birthday Lowell George!

Today would have been the late great guitarist/vocalist and founding member of Little Feat Lowell George’s birthday had he not tragically passed away in 1979. Best-known for his work with Little Feat as the group’s principal songwriter, George also contributed to a number of other artists records, including Frank Zappa’s Weasels Ripped My Flesh as a member of Mothers of Invention, Harry Nilsson’s Son Of Schmilsson, Robert Palmer’s Sneakin’ Sally Through the Alley, Bonnie Raitt’s Takin’ My Time and many more. He was tapped to produce the Grateful Dead’s LP Shakedown Street in 1978 and released a solo album Thanks, I’ll Eat It Here in 1979, shortly before he died.
