But capitalism is not the evil…what is the evil is concept that profit trumps ethics. In a modern society, the ultra rich should not be permitted to exist as long as rampant poverty exists…and a society that embraces Capitalism (or any ism) without putting limits to protect the poor, weak and elderly is an injustice to the society that makes that choice.
American Capitalism just needs some long overdue amendments to include social and environmental justice as above the grip of the “invisible hand” of Capitalism…you know, the one the rich clench into a fist and use to beat the poor into submission as a penalty for their poverty. Which is obviously their own fault.
Let’s fix things. Not just destroy what doesn’t work.
