ROBERT WEINER, BEN LASKY: The predictable effects of marijuana legalization

Ugg. People, the “gateway effect” of marijuana, is an unproven suggestion that anti-pot protagonists use to defend the war on drugs. There is no causal relationship ever shown, just a proclivity to try other drugs if you tried Marijuana. The fact that you tried weed implies that you have this characteristic. You’ve probably tried booze. Maybe tobacco. Any way you spin it, you are more likely to experiment, evidenced by the fact that you already have experimented. It doesn’t prove that the ‘drug’ you experimented with (in this case, weed) CAUSED you to try others. It simply proves you are more likely to try different types of drugs if you’ve already tried one. It applies to alcohol, cigarettes….anything that alters ones reality even slightly…especially if there are taboos against it.

Don’t buy into this failed argument. Alcohol is the biggest “gateway drug” there is, and we all know that there are millions of alcoholics who will never try heroine…and some that will. More alcoholics will try heroine than non-drinkers…simply because they are more likely to experiment. Drinking alcohol…or using any other mind altering substance, legal or not, to make you feel better… is evidence that you already are more open to trying drugs.

Please stop with this bullshit argument that does nothing to show cause and proof, but simply highlights an obvious element of human nature…some people are more likely to experiment with substances to make them feel better. That’s all it shows. Pills. Booze. Weed. Coke. Sex. Danger. A common crop pesticide is making bees dumb

Poor honeybees. Back in 2010, the USDA found a possible link between pesticides used to kill varroa mites and colony collapse disorder. Now, researchers from the University of Otago in New Zealand have discovered that they can “suffer severe learning and memory deficits” if they ingest even tiny doses of a common pesticide used to keep apples, broccoli, corn and other crops insect-free. That pesticide is a controversial chemical called chlorpyrifos. The Environmental Protection Agency and the state of California proposed banning or at least imposing heavy restrictions on its use in the past due to reports that it makes farm workers sick.

So, as Hillary is gloating about her wins, quietly we are just finding out that the “personal emails” she deleted…but that the FBI just forensically recovered…contain an email discussing US envoy Stevens making a decision to leave Benghazi with his delegation. This at the time, would’ve been top secret or beyond. Had her private server been compromised for example, this kind of leak could’ve meant the difference between life & death of State Dept personnel trying to bug out.

She can gloat about her victories, but in the end Bernie will get her delegates because this is gonna bring her down.
